2026 FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR POSTPONED
Dear Partners, Supporters, Volunteers, and Community Members,It is with great sadness that I share the news that our Free Community Health Fair event has been cancelled for this Saturday, May 30th.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to move forward with the event as planned. We kindly ask that you please help spread the word within your organization and networks.
I especially want to apologize to the many community members and families who were relying on the services and resources we had worked so hard to bring together. This decision was not made lightly.
On behalf of our entire team, thank you to every organization, provider, volunteer, sponsor, exhibitor, and supporter who was ready and willing to serve our community. We were truly overwhelmed and inspired by the incredible outpouring of support and generosity we received throughout this process.
Although we experienced a setback this time, our commitment to this work has not changed. We will continue our efforts and begin working toward selecting a future date and a different location for this year’s health fair event. We will be sure to keep you all updated as plans develop.
This is truly a heartbreaking decision. Like many of you, I have poured countless hours, energy, and care into continuing this event, and it is incredibly difficult to see it postponed at this stage.

Since our founding, our nonprofit Council has proudly organized a free health fair every year. We believe health care is a human right. As we continue our fight towards Single-Payer Healthcare in California, we organize an annual free health clinic for our community. It brings essential medical, dental, and vision services. It is open to all regardless of insurance status or documentation status. It provides completely free same-day services to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis. Although resources vary year to year. We always have local providers volunteer their time to make it possible for all to access quality healthcare. Providers include doctors providing checkups and student sports physicals, dentists providing extractions and fillings, dental hygienists providing cleanings, optometrists providing eye exams, eye prescriptions and prescription eyeglasses, and nurses providing vaccinations.

Los proveedores incluyen médicos que brindan chequeos y exámenes físicos deportivos para estudiantes, dentistas que brindan extracciones y empastes, higienistas dentales que brindan limpiezas, optometristas que brindan exámenes de la vista, recetas de ojos y anteojos recetados, y enfermeros que proporcionan vacunas.
